Conducting lessons for the pupils of the health camp «Yunga» of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.26 named after A.N.Sivachev of Grodno» as part of the campaign «Archives – to School» in the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region»

On June 13, 2025, as part of the campaign «Archives – to School», the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region» for the pupils of the health camp «Yunga» of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.26 named after A.N.Sivachev of Grodno» conducted 2 lessons on the topics «State Archives of the Grodno Region: History and Modernity» and «Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Grodno Region».

The archive staff introduced the students to a brief history of archival work in the region, told them about the main areas of the archive’s work and the sources of its acquisition, and also demonstrated the most interesting and valuable documentary materials stored in the archive’s backgrounds, emphasizing their historical and cultural significance. The children were shown exhibitions of documents on display in the archive’s reading room, dedicated to the events and participants of the Great Patriotic War.

During the sightseeing tour, the students visited the laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents, as well as the archive storage facility.
