Participation of BGAMLI in an interview with a correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti Agency
On June 10, 2025, the Minsk Courier newspaper (No.43 (4028) published an interview with the director of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) Elena Aleksandrovna Makarenko, given to a correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti information agency on the eve of the institution’s significant anniversary – the 65th anniversary.
During the interview, Elena Aleksandrovna spoke in detail about the features of the formation of the BGAMLI funds, emphasizing the uniqueness and diversity of the collected materials.
To date, the archive-museum contains 533 funds, the vast majority of which are personal funds of literary, artistic and cultural figures. During the conversation with the correspondent, special attention was paid to rare documents and museum exhibits, including a family photo album of the Bogdanovich family, a notebook Karl Kastrovitsky – the father of the famous Belarusian poet, playwright Karus Koganets and other valuable items reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Belarus.
The director of the archive-museum also presented a documentary exhibition «I have written words for myself…», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Naum Zinovievich Kislik, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, poet, prose writer and translator.
The anniversary of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art is an important event for the cultural community of the country. For 65 years, the employees of the BGAMLI have been reliably serving memory to collect, preserve, scientifically describe, and create conditions for the versatile use of documentary monuments of Belarusian culture.
