Conducting lessons for the pupils of the health camp «Druzhba» of the State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No.3 named after O.I. Solomova of Grodno» within the framework of the International Archives Week and the republican campaign «Archives – to School» in the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region»

On June 10, 2025, within the framework of the International Archives Week and the republican campaign «Archives – to School», the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region» for the pupils of the health camp «Druzhba» of the State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No.3 named after O.I. Solomova of Grodno» held 2 lessons on the topics «Archival Affairs in the Grodno Region» and «Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War».

The archive employees told the schoolchildren about the history of the creation and development of the institution, the main areas of its activities, the composition and content of the stored documents. The children familiarized themselves with the documentary materials of the German occupation authorities, as well as with the documents of the partisan and underground formations operating in the Grodno region. The schoolchildren were also presented with exhibitions of documents dedicated to the events and participants of the Great Patriotic War, exhibited in the reading room of the archive.

During the excursion to the archive, the children visited the archive storage, as well as the laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents.
