BGAMLI celebrates its 65th anniversary

On June 9, 2025, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the institution «Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art» (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) was held. Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Leonidovich Voinov delivered a welcoming speech to the archive-museum. Colleagues came to congratulate the BGAMLI team: directors and employees of archives and museums, cultural and art figures, trade union leaders. The participants of the event were hospitably received by the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery. Archivists are looking forward to their own premises in the historic building on Kirill and Methodius Street, 4, which have been renovated.

The staff of the archive-museum continues the strong traditions of preserving and studying the country’s cultural heritage, established by their predecessors. Director of BGAMLI Makarenko Elena Aleksandrovna was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus for high professionalism and significant personal contribution to the archival industry. The following employees of BGAMLI were awarded by the Department: Head of the Document Preservation Department Bereishik Olga Ivanovna, Leading Archivist of the Document Preservation Department Filimontseva Marina Alekseevna, Leading Archivist of the Scientific Description Department Bogomolova Galina Bernardovna.

Veterans of the archival service Zapartyko Anna Vyacheslavovna and Danekina Valentina Egorovna were awarded with certificates of the archive-museum. Honorary certificates of the BGAMLI were awarded to the head of the department of archives of organizations and the formation of the National Archival Fund Pyshinskaya Maria Iosifovna, leading archivist of the department of information, publication and use of documents Kekeleva Tatyana Viktorovna, leading archivist of the department of information retrieval systems and automated archival technologies Lobovich Ivan Aleksandrovich, leading archivist of the department of ensuring the safety of documents Kryuchok Natalya Dmitrievna.

Makarenko Elena Aleksandrovna and Studinskaya Lyudmila Yulianovna, Maksimovich Inna Gennadyevna and Prinko Natalya Pavlovna were awarded certificates and gratitude from the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions.

BGAMLI presented gratitude and memorable gifts for fruitful long-term cooperation to cultural organizations and partners of the archive-museum.

At the event, the film «Guardians of Time» was presented, specially filmed by Belteleradiocompany for the 65th anniversary of the BGAMLI. The professional conduct of the event, organized by the staff of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus, as well as the performance of the classical repertoire by famous musicians and singers strengthened the festive atmosphere of the holiday.
