Premiere of the play «Theatre Born in the USSR»

On May 28, the premiere of the play «Theatre Born in the USSR» by the Honored Amateur Collective of the Republic of Belarus, the People’s Theater «Pilgrim» took place.

The production is dedicated to the history of the Polotsk Theater, starting from 1921.

Discovery of unknown, richest pages of the history of the Polotsk Theater, the desire to share with people became the reason for the birth of the play «Theatre Born in the USSR».

Vera Kiseleva’s production is unique. The script is based on archival documents. Everything written is true!!!…

The Zonal State Archive in Polotsk provided the Pilgrim Theater with archival documents concerning the history of the Polotsk Theater. We present to your attention some of them.
