Announcement of the new issue of the «Archive Bulletin»: 30 years ago, a memorial was erected in Molodechno in memory of the victims of the concentration camp «Stalag-342»

Historical truth is a memory that unites generations and helps to understand the price of peace. In the new issue of the «Archive Bulletin», we will recall the tragic pages of the past, stored in the Zonal State Archive of Molodechno.

Documents of the Extraordinary State Commission reveal the facts of the crimes of fascism on Belarusian soil. Testimonies of prisoners of the concentration camp «Stalag-342» give terrible pictures of life in inhuman conditions, where hunger and cold were the instruments of destruction.

May 2 marked 30 years since the opening of the memorial complex «Stalag-342». We will reconstruct the history of its creation: the initiative of veteran Alexander Mazanik, the work of architect Leonid Levin and the memory captured in newspaper articles of those years.
