The State Archives in Glubokoe held a dialogue platform «Open Dialogue on the War»
On May 5, 2025, the Zonal State Archives in Glubokoe, together with the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Glubokoe District Executive Committee, held a dialogue platform «Open Dialogue on the War» as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Representatives of the young generation of Glubokoe took part in the event.
The main goal of the meeting was a dialogue on the topic of preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, about the fact that Victory Day will always be a day of remembrance and pride for the Belarusian people.
The event was opened by Tatyana Tarasevich, Deputy Chairperson of the Glubokoe District Executive Committee, who said: «Historical truth is not just facts and dates, it is a living memory of the exploits and sacrifices of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War».
The archive staff presented the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory» to those present, created by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the support of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus for the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War.
The Head of the Department for the Use and Publication of Documents of the State Archives, Tatyana Avlasova, held a presentation of the exhibition of archival documents «War. Victory. Memory». The exhibition presents documents from the personal collections of people through whose destinies the Great Patriotic War passed, leaving behind a heavy memory. These are Vladimir Iosifovich Berezovsky, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, Aleksandr Antonovich Sobolevsky, a teacher and local historian, and Pyotr Yakovlevich Radevich, a prisoner of Nazism.
The participants of the dialogue platform discussed what Victory means in the life of each of them, and shared information about their relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War.
The event ended with the action «Let’s sing «Victory Day» together!»
