On the practical training of specialists of the zonal state archive in Kobrin as part of the pilot project «Young Archivist»

On May 2, 2025, as part of the pilot project «Young Archivist», students of grade 9 «A» of Secondary School No.1 of Kobrin visited the zonal state archive in Kobrin.

Archive specialists conducted a practical training on the topic «Features of the reading room». Schoolchildren got acquainted with the general approaches to the work of users in the reading room of the archive, ensuring user access to archival documents, copying and issuing archival documents made to users’ orders. The children were presented with a display case exhibition «Victory is Immortal, Its Soldiers are Immortal», which tells about veterans of the Great Patriotic War, partisans and underground fighters who operated behind enemy lines in the territory of modern Kobrin and Pruzhany districts, and was exhibited in the lobby of the archive building.

In addition, the students were shown a documentary film «History of the Great Victory», prepared by the staff of the BGAKFFD for the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
