Employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region took part in a rally at the site of the former death camp «5th Regiment» as part of the International Day of Liberation of Prisoners of Fascist Concentration Camps

According to the decision of the United Nations, April 11 is the International Day of Liberation of Prisoners of Fascist Concentration Camps. It was established in memory of the international uprising in Buchenwald.

The requiem rally at the memorial complex «5th Regiment» in Vitebsk brought together representatives of government bodies, public associations, youth, and underage prisoners who honored the memory of the victims of Nazism.

The chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin addressed the rally participants.

Employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region took part in the rally.
