Visit to the opening of the exhibition «Breaking the Silence»

On April 10, 2025, employees of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) visited the opening of the exhibition «Breaking the Silence», which took place at the National Center for Contemporary Arts. The archive-museum has a long-standing partnership with this institution.

A conceptual project about communication, its types and significance in modern society brought together authors working with various types of art, traditional and new media: painting, graphics, photography, video art, sound art, installation. The authors of the project understand communication as a way of conveying complex ideas and feelings, interpreting events within society and an individual, as well as a dialogue with oneself, overcoming the «difficulties of translation» of oneself and others. Some artists and photographers are already founders of the BGAMLI collection. Archivists are working with interest to ensure that new forms of expression in contemporary art in the future become artifacts of the BGAMLI.
