On the visit to the mass grave on the Alley of Heroes by an employee of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

As part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the director of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» Elena Nabokova visited the mass grave on the Alley of Heroes in Belynichi.

The Alley of Heroes was founded in memory of the Soviet soldiers who fought for the liberation of the Belynichi district during the Great Patriotic War.

Along the linden grove there are busts of Heroes of the Soviet Union O. Kasayev, L. Lorchenko, B. Khigrin, S. Tereshkevich, I. Svidinsky, N. Kitaev.

There is also a mass grave of partisans and Soviet soldiers who died during the defense and liberation of the Belynichi District in 1941–1944.

Buried here are 347 soldiers of the 32nd Division of the 69th Rifle Corps of the 49th Army of the 2nd Belorussian Front who died in the battles of June 29 and 30, 1944, or died of wounds in June–July 1944. Also buried are 21 partisans who died in the fight against the Nazi invaders in 1941–1944.

In 1965, a monument was erected at the mass grave – a sculpture of a soldier with a laurel wreath.
