On the implementation of the republican campaign «Archives for School» in the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation

On March 25-28, 2025, as part of the campaign «Archives for School», excursions were held in the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation for two groups of students of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) and for students of grades 8 and 10 of the State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No.25 named after Rimma Shershneva of Minsk».

During the excursion, the children got acquainted with the history of the archive, the building it occupies, as well as the structure and main areas of its activities.

Of great interest was the organization of the work of the archival storage facilities, where the excursionists learned about the rules for placing documents, the procedure for issuing and recording cases, and measures to ensure the safety of archival materials.

In the archive reading room, students and pupils familiarized themselves with the design documentation, photographs of Minsk, which illustrate the restoration of the city after the Great Patriotic War, as well as with an exhibition of documents dedicated to the process of creating a monument on Victory Square.
