Participation of the zonal state archive in Novogrudok in a single lesson of Memory

On March 19, 2025, as part of the republican campaign «Archives for School» and the project «Young Archivist», the head of the department for ensuring the safety, accounting and use of documents, N.A. Pisaruk, took part in a lesson of Memory «Khatyn and her sisters: tragedy and memory» for 8th grade students of Secondary School No.3 in Novogrudok named after V.G. Gakhovich.

Natalya Anatolyevna told the schoolchildren about the burned villages of the Novogrudok region during the Great Patriotic War, the Novogrudok ghetto, punitive expeditions against the civilian population, about the large-scale «pacification actions» carried out by the occupiers against the partisan and underground movement.

During the event, students studied archival documents confirming the facts of the atrocities of the Nazi invaders in Novogrudok and containing information about the numerous victims of the war.
