Documentary exhibition «The Constitution of Belarus – a symbol of the state»
On March 14, 2025, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus opened a documentary exhibition «The Constitution of Belarus – a symbol of the state», prepared by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus.
The Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus is a public holiday that has its own history. The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus is the Basic Law of the country, which has the highest legal force. Our country lives according to the updated Basic Law, for which the majority of our citizens voted in the referendum on February 27, 2022, thereby confirming the cohesion and unity of the Belarusian people, laying the foundations for the future progressive development and prosperity of our state.
The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus presented at the exhibition copies of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus of different years, the Law of the Republic of Belarus of March 15, 1994 «On the procedure for the entry into force of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus». minutes of meetings of the working group of the Constitutional Commission of the Supreme Council of the BSSR, Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus «On holding a republican referendum in the Republic of Belarus and measures to ensure it». minutes of the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus for elections and holding republican referendums and other documents.
The exhibition was viewed by employees of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
