On the visit to the monument to the «Soldiers-Liberators» by an employee of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

As part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, an employee of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» visited the monument to the «Soldiers-Liberators», which is located on Oktyabrskaya Square in Bykhov. Fighters for Soviet power, soldiers and partisans are buried here (51 buried, 46 known). Among the buried are active participants in the struggle to establish Soviet power in Bykhov region, who died in 1920-1925; soldiers of the 187th Rifle Division of the 13th Army of the Western Front, who died defending the city in late June-July 1941, soldiers of the 19th Rifle Corps of the 50th Army of the 2nd Belorussian Front, who died on June 27-28, 1944 in battles to liberate the city from the Nazi invaders, as well as servicemen who were in hospitals and served in units based in Bykhov in 1944-1945.

Nothing is forgotten, no one is forgotten!
