Yuri Antonov and Molodechno: the zonal state archive presents a new issue of the «Archive Bulletin»

The zonal state archive in Molodechno presents a new issue of the media project «Archive Bulletin». It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the legend of the Soviet stage – Yuri Antonov. In this issue, viewers will be able to immerse themselves in archival materials related to the years of the musician’s studies at the Molodechno Music College named after Oginsky (then the Molodechno Music School).

The program includes such documents as Yuri Antonov’s grade book, photographs from his student years, notes from teachers who noted his talent and hard work. These materials not only tell about the beginning of the musician’s creative path, but also emphasize the role of Molodechno in his development. The issue was prepared taking into account the musician’s right to maintain personal privacy, and therefore documents are presented that reflect facts previously published in the media, including by Yu. Antonov himself. Particular attention is paid to the place where the future artist lived – a house on Masherov Street (formerly Zhdanova Street), which is located near the college. Archival documents about the renaming of the street also became part of the story.

The new issue of the «Archive Bulletin» is not only a journey into the past, but also a reminder of how dreams born in a small Belarusian town can become part of the cultural heritage of an entire country.

Watch the program to learn more about Yuri Antonov’s connection with Molodechno and see valuable documents stored by the zonal state archive.
