Career guidance and patriotism: an event at the Rechitsa District Gymnasium named after V.F.Margelov

On February 20, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» pilot project for 11th-grade students of the Rechitsa District Gymnasium named after V.F. Margelov, the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa held an educational event.

Archivists told the children about the archive’s founder, Hero of the Soviet Union, military pilot Dmitry Danilovich Valentik (February 23 is the 118th anniversary of his birth) and presented them with some of his documents. With great interest, the students listened to information about the archivist profession and the educational institutions where they study for it.

In addition, during the meeting, a broadcast of the BGAKFFD documentary film «On the 100th Anniversary of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve» took place, thanks to which the students learned the history of the reserve, got acquainted with its flora and fauna. At the end of the film lecture, they received business cards with a QR code for the YouTube channel of this archive.
