Employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region took part in the opening of the regional marathon «Roads of Victory», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On February 19, 2025, the regional marathon «Roads of Victory», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, started in Vitebsk.

The organizers of the marathon are the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I.Lenin.

The marathon is aimed at preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, forming respect for the heroism and exploits of the Soviet people, preserving the memory of Victory through poetic understanding of military events. The main goal of the Marathon is to foster patriotism and respect for the history of Belarus among residents of the Vitebsk region of all ages by involving them in active participation in events related to reading poems about the Great Patriotic War.

Employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region took part in the opening of the marathon.

As part of the marathon, a chronicle-documentary film «Liberation of Vitebsk» prepared by BGAKFFD was shown.
