Employees of the ZGA in Molodechno took part in events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers in Vileika
On February 15, the Vileika Museum of Local History held events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers, in which employees of the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno actively participated. This event became an important milestone in preserving the historical memory of the feat of soldiers who performed their international duty.
As part of the event, lessons on «Afghanistan. Memory through the Years» were organized for students in Vileika and the Vileika District. Veterans of the Afghan War, including Stanislav Maryanovich Susha and Vladimir Dashko, became guests of honor. Susha, who flew 380 combat missions and was awarded a medal for military merit, shared his memories, which left a deep mark in the hearts of the audience. His story of miraculously escaping from a missile strike was a vivid reminder of the value of life and the bravery of soldiers.
Veteran Vladimir Dashko also spoke about his days of combat and the concussion he suffered, which once again emphasized the importance of the personal experience of each war participant. Schoolchildren were active, asking questions and taking an interest in history, which testifies to the importance of such events for developing respect for the exploits of ancestors.
