A series of events of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers
On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers, a series of events were held in the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB).
On February 13, 2025, a ceremonial meeting of the NARB staff with a participant in the war in Afghanistan, A.K.Alin, took place. The speaker shared his memories of those events and answered questions from archivists. A documentary film was also screened as part of the meeting.
On February 14, 2025, the ideological activists and employees of the NARB took part in a rally and the laying of flowers at the memorial «Island of Courage and Sorrow», dedicated to the Belarusian internationalist soldiers who died in Afghanistan in 1979-1989. The event was attended by members of the primary public organizations «Belaya Rus», «BRSM» and young specialists of the archive.
On February 15, 2025, NARB Chief Engineer V.A.Baranov will take part in official events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers.
