A Lesson of Courage at the Zonal State Archives in Kobrin

On February 13, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, 9th-grade students from Kobrin Secondary School No.4 visited the Zonal State Archives in Kobrin.

On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers, archive specialists held a lesson of courage for the students, «In Memory of Soldiers…».

The children were shown archival documents of internationalist soldiers A.V. Melinchuk and N.K. Astafyev, which are part of the collection of personal documents. The students were very interested in the veterans’ memories of their service in Afghanistan, their order books and medal certificates.

At the end of the meeting, a sightseeing tour of the archive was held, which included a brief excursion into the history of the archive’s formation, information about the main areas of the institution’s activities, and a visit to the archive storage facility.
