On the holding of an information hour by the employees of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha», as part of the republican campaign «Archives to School»

On February 10, 2025, as part of the republican campaign «Archives to School», an information hour was held with students of grades 5 and 6 of the state educational institution «Secondary School No.13 in Orsha» by the archive employees on the topic: «Belarusian children in concentration camps».

During this event, the children got acquainted with archival documents and photographs reflecting the policy of the Nazi invaders towards the civilian population of the Vitebsk region, including residents of Orsha and the Orsha district during the Great Patriotic War, as well as the numerous atrocities of the Nazis and the irreparable losses that the war brought.

In addition, the students were shown the documentary film «Liberation», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents based on archival newsreels.
