Exhibition «Century of Belarusian Cinema» in Grodno

On January 17-18, 2025, a large-scale social and cultural event «Unity Marathon» was held in Grodno. As part of the event, a traveling exhibition «Century of Belarusian Cinema» was presented. This is a joint project of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus, and the Museum of the History of Belarusian Cinema. The exhibition project is based on unique archival materials showing the origins of Belarusian «cinematography» in the 20-30s of the 20th century, museum items from the collections of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus, props and costumes for the most significant Belarusian films.

The exhibition reflects not only the history of the film festival, but also the genre diversity of Belarusian cinema. In just two days of its work, the exhibition was visited by more than a thousand city residents and its guests.
