On the excursion to the institution «State Archives of the Gomel Region»

On January 17, 2025, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleksandrovich Syrankov and the Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Socialism of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Republic of Belarus Aleksei Valerievich Derman visited the State Archives of the Gomel Region. The director of the archive Yu.V.Shestopalov conducted an introductory tour of the departments and the archive storage, in which he spoke about the historical facts of the creation of the regional archive and the activities of the institution in modern times. Department specialists spoke about the features of the acquisition and processing of documents received for storage. The guests watched the processes of repairing archival files and got acquainted with the storage conditions of the archival fund. The guests showed particular interest in the demonstrated documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War.
