On the lecture on office work for employees of the State Archives of the Gomel Region

On January 11, 2025, a lecture on office work was held at the State Archives of the Gomel Region as part of mentoring. At the beginning of the event, the director of the archive, Yuri Vasilyevich Shestopalov, noted the importance of transferring professional experience and skills that are necessary for high-quality work in archival affairs and office work. The head of the department of office work, formation of the National Archival Fund and archives of organizations, Tatyana Vasilyevna Khinevich, shared her experience with colleagues who have little experience in the archival industry. She explained the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of archival affairs and office work, and the significance of the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Archival Affairs and Office Work». Tatyana Vasilyevna emphasized the importance of complying with the requirements of the instructions on office work in the organization, as well as knowledge of the «Rules for the work of state archives» and other regulatory documents. Tatyana Vasilyevna paid special attention to the quality of record keeping of each specialist in the structural divisions, noting that this is what the overall record keeping of the archive is made up of. The professional scientific and practical illustrated magazine «Archives and Record Keeping» is designed to help specialists study regulatory and local acts on record keeping and archival affairs, and also covers other professional issues of archivists. Tatyana Vasilyevna Khinevich covered the work of the record keeping department, the formation of the National Fund and archives of organizations in working with organizations – sources of acquisition of the state archive on the functional tasks assigned to the department.
