Opening of the exhibition «Belarusfilm» about children and for children» in BGAMLI

On December 17, 2024, the opening of the exhibition «Belarusfilm» about children and for children» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema took place in the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI).

The director of the archive-museum E.A.Makarenko addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech, in which she emphasized the role of BGAMLI in preserving and popularizing documents on the history of Belarusian cinema, and spoke about joint projects implemented with Belarusfilm during the anniversary year.

Scriptwriter N.I.Razumovskaya noted the importance of the painstaking work of archivists who collected a unique collection of materials reflecting the history of the film studio.

Leading archivist N.A.Mizon spoke about the main idea of the exhibition «Belarusfilm» about children and for children», which presents archival documents related to the so-called «children’s» Belarusian cinema. Using this part of the documentary collection of the archive-museum as an example, one can trace the development of Belarusian cinema and the film studio «Belarusfilm» as a whole.

The exhibition includes documents of feature, television, animated films (literary and director’s scripts, general estimates, photo test albums, minutes of artistic councils, etc.), which allow you to get acquainted with the complex process of producing films for the most demanding audience – children and teenagers.

The exhibition «Belarusfilm» about children and for children» is available for viewing in the reading room of the Belarusian State Academic Museum of Literature and Art.
