A lesson within the framework of the pilot project «Young Archivist» in the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region»

As part of the republican campaign «Archives for School», the pilot project «Young Archivist» and the agreement on cooperation between the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region» and the educational institution «Mogilev State College of Arts», on November 27, 2024, another lesson was held with college students.

During the lesson, the children got acquainted in practice with the work of the reading room, the possibilities of searching for documents about the history of their family, as well as archival documents on the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.

After that, the film «Liberation» was shown for students in the reading room of the archive, which was prepared by the employees of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents» (Dzerzhinsk) as part of the project «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
