Conducting a lesson within the framework of the pilot project «Young Archivist» in the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region»

On November 26, within the framework of the pilot project «Young Archivist», the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region» held a lesson on the topic «The role of archives in preserving historical heritage. Composition and content of archive documents» for 1st-year students of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of the Yanka Kupala Grodno State University.

During the lesson, the archive staff acquainted the students with the procedure for using archival documents in the archive reading room and the specifics of working with the scientific reference apparatus when identifying documents. The students visited the archive storage, as well as the laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents, where they were given a master class on restoring large-format documents.
