Holding a joint meeting of the labor collectives of the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Affairs, dedicated to the October Revolution Day

On November 6, 2024, a joint ceremonial meeting of the labor collectives of the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Affairs, dedicated to the state holiday – the October Revolution Day, was held in the conference hall of the National Historical Archives of Belarus.

Every year on November 7 (according to the old style – October 25), Belarus celebrates a nationwide holiday – the October Revolution Day. With this date, our country associates numerous victories, accomplishments and labor achievements of the people of Belarus, starting from 1917, which continue to be a subject of our special pride to this day.

Until 1991, November 7 was one of the main holidays of the USSR and was called the Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution.

The employees of the NIA of Belarus and BelNIIDAD were congratulated by the Director of the NIA of Belarus Mikhail Glushakov, Deputy Director of the NIA of Belarus Natalia Buloichik, Director of BelNIIDAD Andrei Rybakov.

As part of the event, Sergei Mishuk, Deputy Director of BelNIIDAD for research work, PhD in Philosophy, spoke to the audience. Sergei Sergeevich dedicated his report to the history of the national holiday.
