On holding a thematic lesson with students of grades 8-10 of the State Educational Institution «Skrygalovskaya Secondary School of the Mozyr District»
As part of the cooperation agreement between the Institution «Zonal State Archives in Mozyr» and the State Educational Institution «Skrygalovskaya Secondary School of the Mozyr District» and as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the pilot project «Young Archivist» on October 14, 2024, a thematic lesson (with elements of a practical lesson and a presentation demonstration) «They were written on the death line…» was organized for students of the educational institution.
This event, the purpose of which was to foster a sense of patriotism and respect for the glorious pages of the past, was dedicated to front-line letters from the Great Patriotic War. An employee of the institution «Zonal State Archives in Mozyr» introduced students to such a concept as «field mail», and the children were able to get acquainted with soldiers’ letters with their own eyes. The practical element of the lesson was of great interest, where the children were asked to briefly move in their imagination to that time and write a few lines to their family and friends, after which this ordinary piece of notebook paper, thanks to the acquired skills, turned into a «front-line triangle letter».
