Excursion for students of State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.17, Mogilev»

As part of the «Archives-school» campaign, students of «Secondary School No.17 of Mogilev» visited the institution «State Archive of Mogilev Region».

In the lobby of the archive, the children got acquainted with the banner exhibition «We will approach the past again», dedicated to the defense, the period of occupation and the liberation of Mogilev from the Nazi invaders. The archival documents and photographs displayed at the exhibition aroused sincere interest among schoolchildren.

Then the tour continued in the document digitization laboratory, where the process of digital document processing was clearly demonstrated to the students. The guests also visited the archive and were able to see the conditions of document storage.

At the end of the excursion, a screening of the documentary film «Liberation» was held in the reading room, prepared by the «Belarusian State Archive of Cinema and Photographic Documents» (Dzerzhinsk).
