Participation of the Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in a round table at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus

On September 25, 2024, a dialogue platform «Formation and Development of the Institute of Presidency in the Republic of Belarus» was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Academy).

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, PhD in History, Associate Professor V.G.Shvaiko addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. The Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Law, Professor N.A.Karpovich, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the VII convocation L.S.Ananich, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, PhD in History, Associate Professor V.L.Lakiza, Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB) A.K.Demyanuk and others took part in the dialogue platform.

Demyanuk A.K. made a report and a presentation on the topic «Popularization of documents on the history of parliamentarism and the institution of presidency by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus». The Director of the NARB also handed over to the Academy collections of documents published by the archive dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the reunification of Western Belarus with the BSSR.

A thematic photo documentary exhibition was presented to the participants of the dialogue platform and to the students of the Academy, which was presented by the leading researcher of the NARB, PhD in History, Associate Professor V.G. Mazets.

The participants were also shown a documentary film «30 years of the institution of presidency of the Republic of Belarus», prepared in the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.
