Information hour at the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.1 in the village of Kopishche» as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

On September 17, 2024, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, employees of the State Archives of the Minsk Region held an information hour for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.1 in the village of Kopishche» on the topic: «Born by Time. September 17 is National Unity Day».

The leading archivist of the State Archives of the Minsk Region, Kristina Babrovich, told the children about the history of the youngest state holiday in Belarus – National Unity Day. The speech was accompanied by a presentation prepared on the basis of archive documents, reflecting the historical events of the autumn of 1939: the resolution on streamlining the registration of population movement in the Nesvizh district, on establishing a new time system in Western Belarus, on organizing state farms in Western Belarus, as well as the resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (bolsheviks) of Belarus on holding the first anniversary of the liberation of Western Belarus.
