Ceremonial meeting of the staff of the State Archives of the Grodno Region dedicated to the Day of National Unity

On September 17, 2024, a ceremonial meeting of the staff dedicated to the Day of National Unity was held at the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region». The director of the archive S.I.Miklashevich congratulated the staff on the 85th anniversary of the reunification of the Belarusian people, recalling the historical basis of the holiday and its relevance at the present time.

The archive employees were shown the documentary film «Reunification», prepared by the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents». After reviewing the archival newsreel showing footage of the liberation campaign of the Red Army and the subsequent establishment of Soviet power on the territory of Western Belarus, the employees of the institution shared their impressions of watching the film, and also noted the importance of cohesion and unity of the Belarusian people for the construction of a sovereign and prosperous country.
