On September 5, the nationwide premiere of the documentary-feature film «Cultural Code» took place in the Vitebsk Cinema House.

Before the premiere of the film, the head of the department of the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region Elena Bondareva spoke to those present. She noted that the residents of the northern region can be proud of the fact that the history of each of the main state symbols is associated with our region. Thus, the flag uses an ornament embroidered in 1917 by a peasant from the village of Kostelishche, Senno District, Matrena Markevich, in whose honor a monument was erected in Senno in 2015. The coat of arms of our country is based on the coat of arms of the BSSR, and the design of this symbol was developed by a teacher of the Vitebsk Art School Valentin Volkov. Students of the institution were also involved in the process. The music for the anthem was written by Nestor Sokolovsky, a native of the Dokshitsy District. The modern anthem of the Republic of Belarus is based on the music that was used in the anthem of the BSSR.
