Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus took part in the Day of Belarusian Literature
The 31st Day of Belarusian Literature was held in Ivatsevichi from August 31 to September 1, 2024. The concept of the holiday provides for the demonstration of the unity of the Belarusian printed word with the history and culture of the Belarusian people, a reflection of the historical path of writing and printing in Belarus. Traditionally, the Day of Belarusian Literature is held in cities that are historical centers of culture, science, literature and printing.
This year, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter – NARB) took an active part in the holiday. Copies of archival documents on the history of Operation Bagration were presented at the BelTA site. Deputy Director of the NARB, PhD in History S.V.Kulinok conducted a tour for students and members of the BRSM, during which he spoke about the activities of the archive and its documents.
Publications on the history of the Great Patriotic War were also demonstrated to visitors, including joint projects of the NARB and the Belarus Publishing House. S.V.Kulinok introduced the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus I.V.Petrishenko, the Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus M.S.Markov, the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee P.A.Parkhomchik and other guests of the holiday to the collection of documents «Nazi punitive operations against partisans of the Polotsk-Lepel partisan zone. April-May 1944» and the first two books from the series «Partisan Archive». These publications, published with the support of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, aroused great interest among those present.
