The Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa presents documents on the protection of the white heron and black stork in the Khoiniki District of the Gomel Region
45 years ago, on June 28, 1979 (Resolution No. 201 of the Council of Ministers of the BSSR), a publication was published containing an annotated list of rare and endangered species of wild animals and plants in Belarus – the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus. During its existence, it was possible to preserve many representatives of flora and fauna, carry out successful programs for their restoration and increase in population numbers.
The Rechitsa State Archives permanently store documents on the protection of birds that are still rarely found in nature and are listed in the Red Book of Belarus – the white heron and black stork. This is the order No. 234 of the chairman of the Khoyniki district executive committee from July 27, 1989 «On the transfer of habitats and nesting sites of the black stork and white heron listed in the Red Book of the USSR and the BSSR under protection» (F. 1. Op. 1. D. 705. L. 36) and the consolidated inventory statement in 1989 of the habitat of animals listed in the Red Book of the BSSR in the Khoyniki district (F. 1. Op. 1. D. 705. L. 37). They provide information on the number and distribution of nests of each bird species in four forestry areas of the Khoyniki region (Leninskoye, Dubrovitskoye, Oktyabrskoye, Tulgovichskoye) for further protection and increase in population.
