08.08.2024 Mentoring Day was held at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region

The purpose of the Mentoring Day is to exchange experiences with young specialists, practical transfer of professional knowledge, skills and abilities from the older generation to the younger, development of a positive attitude towards work in new employees, the opportunity to quickly achieve the work indicators required by the institution.

During the event, Lyudmila Nikolaevna Tsalabanova, Deputy Director – Chief Curator of the Funds, acquainted young archivists with the composition of documents stored in the archive, ensuring their safety. She explained the procedure for issuing documents from archival storage facilities and the need to check the availability and state of affairs, and also answered all questions of interest.

Natalia Nikolaevna Kravtsova, Head of the Department of Acquisition of the National Archives and Records Management, introduced young specialists to the procedure for accepting documents from organizations that are sources of acquisition of the state archive for permanent storage, observation files of organizations, the nomenclature of files, and conducting an examination of the value of documents.

The novice archivists visited the document digitization laboratory, where they were clearly shown the process of scanning and digital processing of documents.
