On participation in the opening of the exhibition «Belarusian People’s: Code of National Quality. Masterpieces of Folk Artists from the Collection of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus»

On August 1, 2024, employees of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» took part in the opening of the exhibition «Belarusian People’s: Code of National Quality. Masterpieces of Folk Artists from the Collection of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus», which took place in the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble.

In the year of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus has prepared a gift – a large-scale traveling project dedicated to the People’s Artists of Belarus, among whom are participants in the Great Patriotic War.

Presented in the Year of Quality, this kind of project provides a unique opportunity to get acquainted beyond the main art venue of the country with the work of artists whose works are rightfully considered classics and the standard of Belarusian fine art of the 20th – early 21st centuries.

The project presents more than 40 works of painting, graphics and sculpture by Zair Isaakovich Azgur, Ivan Osipovich Akhremchik, Vitold Kaetanovich Bialynitsky-Birulya, Gavriil Kharitonovich Vashchenko, Valentin Viktorovich Volkov, Viktor Aleksandrovich Gromiko, May Volfovich Danzig, Evgeny Alekseevich Zaitsev, Aleksandr Mikhailovich Kishchenko, Raisa Vladimirovna Kudrevich, Pavel Vasilyevich Maslenikov, Ivan Yakimovich Misko, Georgy Georgievich Poplavsky, Mikhail Andreevich Savitsky, Vitaly Konstantinovich Tsvirko and others.
