Summer holidays in BGAMLI

The republican campaign «Archives for School» is being implemented at the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art during the summer holidays.

On July 17, 2024, students of grade 4 «Z» visited the archive-museum. Younger schoolchildren were interested in the unusual building, which is cool in the summer heat. The attention of the students was attracted by both the massive stone walls with the remains of Baroque stucco, and the current content of these walls – the archives of artists, writers, composers, and cultural institutions. The children asked many witty questions and, together with archivists, discussed the problems of preserving historical and cultural artifacts. Schoolchildren got acquainted with the exhibition «Sam-us with eternity» for the 100th anniversary of the people’s writer of Belarus V.Bykov, and thought about the themes of his works. When viewing the exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the People’s Artist of Belarus Yu.Stupakov, visitors spoke about their theatrical experience. At parting, the students promised to tell their parents and friends about what they saw in the archive-museum.
