Exhibition of documents at the NIA Belarus dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus

On July 1, 2024, an exhibition dedicated to the upcoming national holiday – Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus opened at the National Historical Archive of Belarus. On this same day, our country celebrates with pride and respect the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Belarusian land from the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War. The theme of the exhibition: «Front-line archivists. Workers of the Central State Historical Archive of the BSSR, participants in the Great Patriotic War, 1941 – 1945.»

The exhibition presents reprints of documents from the personal files of 8 archive workers who participated in hostilities on the war fronts and in the partisan movement. Leading researcher at the Department for the Use of Documents and Information Vladimir Denisov, at a team meeting, told his colleagues about the military and labor merits of our glorious predecessors, who in the post-war years made a huge contribution to the restoration of the archival fund of Belarus.
