Managers and workers of the archival industry took part in the event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus

On June 28, 2024, on the eve of Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, an event dedicated to the national holiday and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders was held at the pedestal of the T-34 liberation tank, located at the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

The event was attended by the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov, Deputy Director of the Department A.E.Tsvetkov, heads and employees of republican archival institutions, chairmen of trade union committees and primary organizations of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

Participants of the action laid flowers at the monument and observed a minute of silence in memory of Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground fighters who fought in the battles for the liberation of Minsk and Belarus.

Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus has been celebrated on July 3 since 1997, in accordance with the decision of the 1996 republican referendum, when the Belarusian people chose this day for the main state holiday to commemorate a historically important date in the fate of the country. On July 3, 1944, during the Minsk offensive operation, the capital of Soviet Belarus, Minsk, was liberated.
