«Victims of War»

The events of the Great Patriotic War left their mark on every Belarusian family. Hardships and hardships under German occupation, valiant work in the rear, injuries and death in the rear, partisan detachments and at the front are an integral part of every family story.

Both ordinary workers and leaders at various levels fought alongside the Nazi invaders.

The Mogilev Regional Council of Workers’ Deputies did not stand aside either.

Among the deputies elected on December 24, 1939, every fifth died or went missing during the war. Among them are the chairman and secretary of the organizing committee of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the BSSR for the Mogilev region Ivan Fedoseevich Terekhov and Yakov Mikhailovich Kagan, the chairman of the regional plan Pavel Ivanovich Mizarov, the chairman of the Mogilev regional court Abram Efimovich Shubik, the chairman of the Mogilev City Council of Workers’ Deputies Donya Ilyich Astrov and others.
