Without a statute of limitations: the management of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Molodechno» took part in the All-Belarusian Minute of Silence on the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War
The leadership of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Molodechno» took part in the All-Belarusian minute of silence on the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War. The event took place at the monument to heroic liberators in Victory Park and brought together representatives of the local power vertical, public associations, labor collectives, youth, and concerned citizens. At exactly noon, they bowed their heads and once again remembered those who suffered from the actions of the Nazis and, at the cost of their lives, contributed to the Great Victory. The event ended with a flower laying ceremony.
– Such events cannot have a statute of limitations, behind which there is oblivion. The price for a peaceful sky was too high… It is the duty of every citizen of the country to remember and not allow those events to happen again on our land», noted archive director Inna Zenonovna.
For reference: It was decided to establish Victory Park in Molodechno by the Decree of the City Council and the Bureau of the Molodechno City Committee of the Communist Party of Bolsheviks (Bolsheviks) dated October 17, 1945. In addition, the zonal archive contains the Decision of the Molodechno City Council of Deputies dated April 13, 1946 on the allocation of land for the future park. In December 1982, a memorial complex was opened here in honor of the liberators of the city from the Nazi invaders (sculptors I.N. Glebov and A.M. Zaspitsky, architects Yu.I.Kazakov and Yu.B.Belanovich). The place of worship traditionally gathers caring patriots of Belarus on significant dates (and not only).
