On the opening of a virtual exhibition in the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation

As part of the events dedicated to the International Week of Archives, on June 6, 2024, a virtual exhibition «Architecture of Eternity» opened in the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of the builder, deputy manager of the Avtoremstroymontazh trust of the USSR Ministry of Automotive Industry Grigory Andreevich Vlasova.

Grigory Andreevich Vlasov was a man whose path of service and labor remains a great and inspiring example for many. His story is not just the biography of a front-line soldier and builder, but also a vivid example of how personal efforts can transform entire cities and leave a mark on history. Grigory Andreevich’s entire post-war life was connected with construction organizations: the military construction department, and then various construction trusts, where he worked in leadership positions that required extraordinary organizational skills. He restored the destroyed Officers’ House and Opera House, built new residential buildings, factories, schools and kindergartens. And not only in the capital, but also in Mogilev, Orsha, Gomel, Borisov and other cities.

In preparing the exhibition, documents from the personal collection of G.A. Vlasov were used.

Exhibition materials are available here.
