A.N.Karlyukevich presented to BGALI a number of new publications by Belarusian writers

On May 31, 2024, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BStAMLA) was visited by the writer, local historian, literary critic, journalist, statesman, chairman of the Writers’ Union of Belarus, director and editor-in-chief of the publishing house «Zvyazda» Alexander Nikolaevich Karlyukevich.

He deposited a number of new publications, two of which were his own, for storage at BGAMLI. In the first book «Belarus – China. Literary Brotherhood» – the reader will find essays, reflections and interviews telling about today’s and yesterday’s Belarusian-Chinese cultural and literary ties. The second, «The Darogi and Padnyabesnaya», contains interviews with famous Chinese writers and Belarusian translators of Chinese literature.

The books «Selected Works of Ales Badak» and «Selected Works of Contemporary Belarusian Writers» contain translations into Belarusian of works by Belarusian authors.

Alexander Nikolaevich Karlyukevich is actively involved in the development of Belarusian-Chinese relations, contributes to the preparation and publication of works by Chinese writers in the Belarusian language and Belarusian ones in Chinese.
