On the holding by employees of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha», as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, an information hour «Symbols of my country» with students in grades 9-11

On May 15, 2024, as part of the republican action «Archives to School» and events dedicated to the Year of Quality, with students of grades 9-11 of the state educational institution «Secondary School No.8 of Orsha», the leading archivist of the department for the use of documents of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha» Yu.I.Gryadovka, an information hour «Symbols of my country» was held, dedicated to the «Day of the State Emblem, State Flag and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus».

The state flag, coat of arms and anthem – symbols of the sovereign Republic of Belarus reflect the historical, spiritual and moral features of the nation, the cultural characteristics and worldview of the Belarusian people, their desire for self-determination and independent development. These are symbols of independence, conveying the historical and cultural heritage of our people, emphasizing the national spirit and dignity of Belarusian citizens.

During the conversation, students, in a presentation format, became familiar with the symbols of state sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus, watched video materials, became acquainted with the history of the state symbols of the country, and the coats of arms and flags of settlements of the Vitebsk region were presented to the students’ attention.
