Congratulations to the employees of NHA Belarus on Family Day

On May 15, Family Day is celebrated in the Republic of Belarus. A strong family is the basis for the development of the state.

Director of the NHA of Belarus Mikhail Glushakov at the ceremoNHAl meeting of the team congratulated the archive workers on Family Day and wished them to always be surrounded by the daily care of loved ones, children to delight with their successes, grandchildren to give warmth and attention. Deputy Director Natalia Buloichik told the team the history of celebrating Family Day in our country.

An exhibition of documents from the 18th – early 20th centuries has been prepared for the event within the framework of the republican action «My Family – My Country», which reflects the history of the institution of family on Belarusian lands in different historical periods. The exhibition presents books of marriage examinations, family lists, a genealogical table of the noble family of the Counts Tyszkiewicz and a number of other documents. The oldest of them was the testament of Frantisek Burditsky-Burlo, which ordered the education of his unmarried daughter Anna and grandson Basil. The document is dated May 17, 1779.
