On the inclusion of former archive directors in the Book of Honor of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

On the eve of the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory over the fascist invaders, former archive directors who defended our Motherland were included in the Book of Honor:

Gavrilov Ivan Ivanovich from August 1941 to June 1942 – participant in the defense of the city of Leningrad. He was awarded medals: «For valiant labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945», anniversary medals, a Certificate of the Supreme Council of the BSSR, and the honorary title «Honored Worker of Culture of the Belarusian SSR». From 05/09/1958 to 05/21/1979 – head of the regional party archive of the Mogilev regional committee of the CPB.

Feodosius Nikolaevich Smirnov from July 1941 to May 1943 served in the Special Department of the NKVD (military counterintelligence) as an intelligence officer on the Western and Central Fronts. From May 1943 to July 1944 he worked as a senior intelligence officer and secretary of the NKGB in Gomel. He was awarded the orders: Patriotic War II degree, Red Banner of Labor, Order of Lenin, medals: «For Military Merit», «For Defense of Moscow», «For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945», «For Victory over Germany» «, «For Labor Distinction», anniversary medals, twice awarded Certificates of Honor of the Supreme Council of the BSSR. From 05/21/1979 to 05/20/1986 – head of the regional party archive of the Mogilev regional committee of the CPB.
