The director of the state archive of public associations of the Grodno region visited the Humanities College of the Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupala to conduct a film lecture

On the eve of the great holiday – Victory Daythe director of the archive of public associations of the Grodno region L.Gorbach visited the college-museum – the Humanitarian College of the educational institution «Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupala» in order to conduct a film lecture within the framework of the republican project «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could», dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Belarusian people over the Nazi invaders

The richest history can be seen in the classrooms and corridors of the educational institution – a real college-museum. The exhibits are always on view and create a special creative atmosphere. The three buildings of the humanities college represent three historical eras in the life of not only the educational institution itself, its graduates, but also the city. The oldest building immerses guests in the atmosphere of pre-revolutionary life. There is an audience here dedicated to Alexander Pushkin. In the second building, the history of the Soviet period will be told in offices, corridors and even staircases with propaganda posters placed on them. Walking through the corridors, you find yourself either in the office of that time, or in the living room. One of the components of the project is personalized audiences of outstanding teachers and graduates. Classes are held there every day and, as if by the way, students get acquainted with the life of war heroes Olga Solomova and Nikolai Slatvinsky, composers Vladimir Kondrusevich, Valery Ivanov, Viktor Voitik, Leonid Zakhlevny, teachers Adam Chopchits, Stanislav Guletsky, Nina Brakalo.

It was in this creative atmosphere that the students were presented with the documentary film «Liberation», which tells the chronology of the liberation of the territory of our country, starting from November 26, 1943, when the Red Army troops entered the city of Gomel, and ending on July 28, 1944 – the liberation The city of Brest, which was the first to face the war face to face, fought heroically throughout the occupation.
